Description

Dezir was designed in 1927 as Skerry 30sq.m. by the legendary Tore Holm.  She was built in Rödesunds Båtvarv by Harry Becker as the first boat of a series of 13 very similar boats with the original sail number S-90. In 1941, following some changes of the Skerry rating rules, the boat was rated as Skerry 22 and registered with the sail number S-247. Very long for the class and very fast with a shorter boom, but a taller mast, Dezir is thought to be one of the most successful examples in terms of reclassification from rule SK30 to rule SK22.

Actually the owner has the 2 rigs as a Skerry 30 and a Skerry 22 , which is the one actually used with the new sails of 2020.

The boat received a thorough restoration in 2000 and in 2013 a latest restoration by Bobby Cyrus at  Stockholms Båtsnickeri, one of the best boatyards in Sweden for classic yacht restoration.
